This is a scarf I made my mom a while back. I loved the process of making it and how it turned out. Here is a link to the pattern.

Crochet Cozies 2
I made coffee cozies to send to me mom and brother. The red and black one is supposed to be the star trek symbol. I'm not sure if it is recognizable...I'm not a star trek fan myself. Let me know what you think!
Find the pattern for these cozies in my previous post, "Coffee Cozies."

Basket Weave Baby Blanket WIP
One of my good friends from college recently found out she is pregnant so I decided to crochet a blanket for the baby. I found this free pattern for a basket weave blanket at craft passion. I started working on it this weekend and am just hoping that I can finish it before the baby shower in the beginning of May.

Teacup Candles
I wanted to share with you what I made for several of the people on my Christmas list this year...teacup candles. I have been seeing pictures of these online for years and have thought they were so adorable, but never got around to actually making them until now. I bought the teacups at Home Goods, but you could probably find much cheaper ones at any second hand shop. I love this gift because you can really personalize each one by using different teacups, scents and wax colors. They were also very simple and fun to make. I made one for both of my sisters and for my boyfriend's grandparents. Sorry the picture below is not the best quality...it is difficult to get a good picture of a lit candle, haha. I am also not the best photographer and currently only have my phone camera. One of my new years resolutions is to learn how to take better photos!
I used instructions from design sponge to make these candles.
Currently I am working on a couple of crochet projects...The first being a baby blanket for one of my friends who just found out she is pregnant and the second is a star trek coffee cozy for my brother. I will post pictures later!

Coffee Cozies
I'm back. It has been a while since I have posted anything but I would like to change that and get this blog rolling again! I actually did not gift any crocheted items this Christmas which was a change for me, however I did make candles for a few people on my list...I will share pictures of those later.
I went to visit my family this year in southern California which was a nice break from our New England winter. I received a couple of requests from family for coffee cozies. I found this really cute pattern that is quick (took me about an hour to complete one) and easy. Now that I have the hang of these, I'm just going to work on making some personalized ones for my family members.

Finished Apron
I finally finished sewing on the pockets and weaving in all the ends to my apron yesterday. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out and now I just need to learn how to bake so I can actually get some use out of it. I tend to procrastinate when it comes to weaving in the ends and doing the finishing touches to a project, so I have a pile of almost complete projects waiting to be finished. Looks like it's going to be a rainy weekend so maybe I will put a dent in that pile.
I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July!

Spring Shrug
I just completed this spring shrug...pattern can be found at Crochet in Color. It was so easy to make! This pattern used the v-stitch, but you could make a similar shrug using any stitch of your choosing. All you have to do is crochet a long rectangle and then fold it length-wise and sew arm holes on both ends. I love this one so much, that I will probably make several more in different colors. I think I will play around with different stitches as well! Here are some pictures...
